JOHAN Sports embraces sports science because sports science can help coaches and trainers to make better decisions with GPS, HEART RATE, RPE, WELNESS and INJURY data. With this kind of data, players can be better prepared for match load. Furthermore, training sessions can be better planned, and the physical status of each player can be better estimated. Better decision-making leads to better performance and less injuries.
JOHAN Sports has an enormous data set with GPS, HEART RATE, RPE, WELNESS and INJURY data that can be studied on. We have collaborations with universities and researchers who study on this data set in order to get more insight in how to get better performance and less injuries. With these insights we can develop and improve our performance analytics system.
Next to sports science we embrace coaches, trainers and sports scientists. Because they work with our product on a daily basis, they can provide valuable feedback, from which we can develop our product and bring it to the next level.
We have scientific collaborations in the Netherlands but also abroad. In the Netherlands we do a project with Codarts about how to reduce the number of injuries in talented youth soccer players. Abroad we work together with Filipe Clemente about training methodology (i.e. when to schedule training sessions, how to plan training load across the week). Furthermore, Filipe Clemente is our Sports Scientific advisor.
We are open for new ideas and initiatives to get more insights from our data set that can assist coaches and trainers to improve player performance and have less injuries. Therefore, please sign up if you are interested on studying this. Request our special research offer here »
