Why you?

You are the person who unerringly understands how people use a system and because of that you can make every system work easily for everybody. You communicate in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable, at ease and most important: heard. If every support question was a concert, you’d find the right tune to set the mood. You are the sense of applications and the bridge between technology and the use of it.

How to explain your job to others?

As a CX Support Specialist you are the main reason the users of the JOHAN applications actually do what they should do to get the best out of everybody. You are the lane-control- function of the JOHAN-applications.

What will you do?

You will be the practical, super-friendly, customer experience specialist that provides smooth, daily operational support for JOHAN Sports. In short: you make JOHAN-customers happy.

An average day in the office…

Average is not exactly what you pursue, and luckily for you neither does JOHAN Sports. So, this will be a day when you strive to get to excellence.
          Of course, you jump out of bed in the morning, excited to go to work. You don’t need those espresso’s like the rest of the world, but you immediately look at your phone – as if you were still in high school – whether there is someone you can advise right away. Looks like everything went smooth and you can start the day easily.
          Coming into the office you start the day by checking the data organization of the uploaded data from the day before. Here you notice that one of the JOHAN-clients forgot to create exercises in the application. You give the client a call to notify them (OK and to congratulate them on their awesome win from last Saturday), so they can quickly update the exercises. It turns out that this client isn’t the only one, so you arrange for a notification system in the application to ensure all clients complete the process. Wanting to ensure the experience the clients have you place a reminder for yourself in the calendar to contact that client in two weeks to see how your solution works for them.
          Now, having lunch with your JOHAN-colleagues is an entire experience on its own. Cracking one corny joke after the other, the customer team once again is the life and soul of the party. Training your abs from laughing, they immediately get a new exercise: one of our Applied Sports Scientist calls you – trying not to laugh – that the client needs a new tracker, because apparently trackers can’t handle dogs chewing them. Noted, but not really necessary to inform the dev team about. Although it is a great story for the meeting about support and operations you will have with the Head of Technology in an hour. In order to prepare this meeting you quickly scan whether Salesforce is updated, what the status of the stock is and you check with your colleague from Sales about any upcoming new clients for delivery.
          After a smooth (and thanks to your client also funny) meeting, you luckily have another two hours to get back to the project you started this morning and optimize that notification process.

Who will you work with?

You will work with and report to Hidde, Head of Technology. As part of the JOHAN Sports customer team you will work closely with Niels, Head of Sports Science and Luc, Sports Marketer as well.

Who are you?

  • A starter with 0-3 years’ experience of field related work.
  • HBO- or WO-level of thinking. An education in Customer Experience (CX) development would be amazing!
  • You have knowledge of technical products and customer behavior, to create a customer experience.
  • Natural interest for sports.
  • Superb communication skills in both Dutch and English, verbal and in writing.
  • Experience in working with AdobeXD, WalkMe and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
  • Practical, analytical, independent, flexible, creative, enthusiastic and you have a good sense of humor!
